World Duchenne Day on Saturday, September 7th provides a fantastic opportunity to anyone of any age to create awareness of Duchenne muscular dystrophy and raise funds to help fund a cure. Likewise, the entire week of September is recognized as Duchenne Awareness Week -- we’ve got one whole week to make a difference so let’s do this!
By getting involved and taking some very simple actions, caregivers and patients can contribute to the efforts to help find a cure. Here’s how you can participate and become part of the solution to help save this generation of those affected by Duchenne.
Wear your shirts on September 7th (and the whole week!) and post photos of you, your family, your friends and your co-workers in the shirts to help create awareness of what Duchene is and why it is important to find a cure.
Host any kind of fundraising event, from a bake sale to car wash to lemonade stand to community event. Every dollar raised helps CureDuchenne invest in the most promising science that can help our boys live the long healthy lives they are entitled.
Help us reach our goal of $7,900 for the 79 exons that are linked together to form the instructions for making dystrophin protein.
Add a frame to your Facebook profile picture now and create more awareness.
