Bio: Dr. Matthew Alexander obtained his PhD in Genetics and Development from UT Southwestern Medical Center. He joined the laboratory of Dr. Louis Kunkel at Harvard Medical School as a postdoc fellow. In 2016, Dr. Alexander moved his lab to Children’s of Alabama/University of Alabama at Birmingham where he is an Assistant Professor in Pediatric Neurology and Genetics. His lab focuses on identifying epigenetic and genetic regulators of neuromuscular diseases using zebrafish and mice for drug screening.
