CureDuchenne Crusaders Rock the Orange County Marathon

127 Caped Crusaders
Get the Word Out!
Newport Beach-Irvine, CA
January 8, 2007

What a fantastic day! Not only did we have a great response from the Orange County Community, but supporters from around the country flew in to join our caped Crusaders. We had a great turnout, and we were the largest team competing in the marathon. A special thanks to Scott & Cathy Jones, who did a fantatic job as our Team Captains.

We need more event champions...in EVERY city! With each event, people learn more about Duchenne.

Champion a fundraising event in your community...for the boys. YOU can help change their fate.

Crusaders Finish in Force with Capes Flying

The crowd roared as the CureDuchenne Crusaders turned the bend to the finish line. We were the largest team, by far, and certainly the brightest colored. Our wall of lime green capes couldn't be missed as the Crusaders swept across the finish line, amidst deafening cheers and a great plug from the race announcer.

CureDuchenne was the only charity spotlighted in the Time Warner overview of the race.  Watch the review below and see how these dedicated Crusaders got the word out!
