Fundraising Ideas
Our sincere thanks for your compassion and willingness to help in CureDuchenne’s fight for the lives of our Duchenne boys. Every dollar helps support some of the most promising research projects that currently offer hope to our boys’ families and friends. Here are just a few ideas on how you can help:
- Host a Family & Friends Event
Ask people to attend, hear your story about DMD and how they can help save THIS generation of boys. If you host a birthday party, donations could be requested instead of gifts.
- Compete for the Cure!
Set up a Runners Fundraising Page. Send an email to friends, family, business associates, etc. and ask them to sponsor you (so many dollars per mile). The system tracks everything for you online! Learn more
- Company Matched Contributions
Many companies match donations made through their corporate gifting programs. Please ask your company to add CureDuchenne as an approved charity.
United Way Write-In Charity
United Way has included CureDuchenne as an authorized “write in” charity. If your company’s gifting program includes United Way, please write in CureDuchenne as your designated charity.
- Contact Local Media
Get our story out! Contact us and we’ll send you a listing of the media (papers, magazines, TV/radio stations, etc.) in your area.
- Create Your Personal Fundraising Page
Create a personal online fundraising page. Email it to friends, family, business associates, local businesses, etc. It tracks each donation, lets you know who contributed what and even sends out a thank you note from you. Learn more
- Kids Helping Kids
Young people can make a difference too! Encourage them to get involved, do fundraising events (car wash, bake sales, soccer tournament, sell wristbands, etc).
