About Our Event Co-Chairs
Sonal and Manu Gambhir are more than event co-chairs; they’re parents on a mission. Their son, Yuva, bravely faces Duchenne muscular dystrophy daily. As he pursues computer science at the University of Pennsylvania, he envisions a Duchenne-free world, saying, “The love I’ve received is overwhelming. Together, we can conquer this disease.” Manu Gambhir adds, “Every moment is crucial as we near a cure for a disease impacting 300,000 boys globally. The immense support we’ve received is both humbling and motivating.”
Martin Lehr, co-chair and CureDuchenne board member, lost his brother Stephen to Duchenne. He states, “I know Duchenne’s heartbreak. Research is our hope. Events like Dealing for Duchenne aren’t just fundraisers; they’re lifelines.”

About CureDuchenne
CureDuchenne is a national nonprofit raising awareness and funds to cure Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Paul and Debra Miller founded the organization in 2003 after their son, Hawken, was diagnosed with Duchenne. Since then, the organization has funded numerous scientific projects to fast-track research and new treatments for Duchenne, while advocating for the community with education and support programs.
CureDuchenne is a charitable nonprofit 501(c)3 organization. Tax ID #20-0299958.
