Dr. Barry Byrne, Professor and Associate Chair of Pediatrics at the University of Florida, helped to inspire the story for the new movie “Extraordinary Measures” starring Harrison Ford and Brendan Fraser.
Dr. Byrne is one of Cure Duchenne’s Scientific Advisors. He also was one of the twelve climbers to climb Mt. Rainier last year in the 2009 Climb to Cure Duchenne.
Both climbing with and working with Dr. Byrne is a pleasure and it’s an honor to have someone as committed as he is to help us in the quest to find a cure for Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD).
