Mission Accomplished! Almost a Half Million Raised!

On Saturday evening we hosted our Second Annual Chance for a Lifetime Fundraiser at the Newport Beach Marriott Hotel and Spa. It was a tremendous success! We raised almost a half a million dollars! Because of generous sponsors who paid for the night’s expenses, 100% of the money raised will go directly to research!
Cure Duchenne Founder Debra Miller said, “Because of the generous donations of so many we’ll be able to send over this much needed money directly to research projects that will impact the lives of our boys with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.”
In all, everyone who joined us had a wonderful evening. There was live music from Pinch Me band, silent and live auctions, Texas Hold’em poker, a special new video talking about the 2009 Climb to Cure Duchenne, and sneak peek at some of the exciting things Cure Duchenne has in store for 2010.
Congratulations to our Grand Prize Opportunity Drawing winners Vince and Ariane Salvati of Orange County. They will enjoy a weekend getaway at Laguna Beach’s Charming Montage Beach Resort.
A special thank you to everyone who participated in our Opportunity Drawing. Also, a very special thank you to everyone who participated in this years event making one of our most successful yet!
With your help, we are getting closer every day to finding a cure for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
As for what’s coming up in 2010, please stay tuned. We’ve have some very exciting events planned and ways that everyone can get involved!
