Prosensa Receives Notice of Allowance for Key Patent Related to Lead Compound in Development for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy

CureDuchenne is happy to post this recent press release from Prosensa. Prosensa has been granted the US patent rights for PRO-051, the compound which is being used in the current trial to skip exon 51.
CureDuchenne was the first US organization to fund Prosena’s exon skipping project and we have been pleased from the start with their scientific judgment and their sound business practices. We look forward to seeing the results from their current phase 2 trial very soon.
As always, we are very interested in any potential treatment that can change lives and eventually bring a cure to Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
